Other Ways to Help
The UH Cancer Center is on the frontline in the battle against cancer. We are researching new ways to prevent, and treat cancer, and we are currently conducting more than 100 clinical trials to study new therapies with life-saving potential. Join us in the fight by volunteering, hosting a fundraising event or participating in a research study. Every contribution of time, funding or resources makes a difference.

Four Seasons Hualalai Resort Supports Cancer Research with Annual Fund Raiser
The enduring relationship between the Four Seasons Hualalai and the UH Cancer Center has raised more than $225,000 for cancer research over the past decade. Dr. Michele Carbone, Center director, presented a plaque of appreciation to Mr. Robert Whitfield, general manager of the Four Seasons in recognition of his staff's commitment to hosting the 15th Annual Run for Hope weekend, held each Labor Day. This year's line up of events included the signature "Taste of Hawaii Island" dinner and silent auction, golf and tennis tournaments, and a 5K run, all of which required staff and volunteer support. "I'm very grateful to the employees of the Four Seasons Hualalai for their unwavering commitment to support the research of the UH Cancer Center," said Carbone.
