Make a Gift

Volunteers
Mrs. Funayama established the Warren T. Funayama Endowed Fund at the UH Cancer Center in memory of her husband. She says "Through our gift, we are pleased to know that we will help find a cure for cancer and improve the quality of life for those diagnosed with the disease."
Please join our quest to create a world without cancer. Your support of the UH Cancer Center will provide the critical resources to sustain innovative research, equip our laboratories with state of the art equipment and attract top-tier scientists to join our battle against cancer.

With your help, not only can we continue to explore promising new frontiers, but we can ensure that exciting studies already in progress continue. Your contributions help bridge gaps not fully supported through grant funding, and allow us to create a healthier future for the people of Hawaii and the Pacific.

Help Build a Legacy for the Future

In February 2013 we officially opened our new world-class cancer center in Kaka'ako. The building offers the optimal environment for discovery, research and collaboration. The State of Hawaii generously supported funding for the building, but your help is needed to raise funds to expand the Center's research programs, recruit and retain leading cancer researchers and break new ground in cancer prevention, detection and treatment. Donors can choose to support a specific field of research, target innovative new programs or name specific areas within the Center. To find our more about individualized giving opportunities, contact the UH Cancer Center Development Office at 808-356-5757.

Sidney Kosasa Donor Wall

The open space next to the Sullivan Conference Center is known as the Sidney Kosasa Kahua Launa. The display "For those we love" is made possible by the family of Sidney Kosasa who never forgot his employees or his community no matter how successful he became. In that spirit, the family asked to underwrite this recognition wall that honors loved ones and donors who have contributed to the Cancer Center. The family invites others to join them in supporting the important research being conducted here at the University of Hawai`i Cancer Center.
