University of Hawai‘i Pilot Funding Opportunity in Cancer Health Disparities

The Cancer Prevention and Control Program at the University of Hawaii Cancer Center (UHCC) announces the availability of workgroup pilot funds that will lead to an R01 application submission. Workgroups are encouraged to propose the collection of preliminary data that lead to high risk and high impact projects. The purpose of this funding announcement is to solicit innovative transdisciplinary behavioral and bio-behavioral research that is focused on the elimination of cancer health disparities in Hawaii and the U.S. Pacific region. Projects may involve primary data collection or the use of secondary data. The proposed research must be directly applicable to cancer prevention and control research and address specific gaps in scientific knowledge, methodologies, and/or application. The proposed study must lead to an intervention focused R01 application that targets at-risk populations, cancer patients, or cancer survivors.
