Research Focus

Dr. Murphy’s research interest is on dietary assessment methodology, food and supplement composition databases, development and use of nutrient standards, and the nutritional epidemiology of chronic diseases. She is currently participating in University of Hawaiʻi Cancer Center studies of gender effects in quantifying food frequency questionnaires and a UH Cancer Center contract to document software to assess nutrient adequacy.
