Cancer Research Training

The UH Cancer Center is the central cancer research education hub within Hawaiʻi and the Pacific. The Cancer Research Training (CRT) Office works closely with the Community Outreach and Engagement (COE) Office, and the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Office to provide innovative training and mentorship experiences focusing on diversity and health disparities at all career levels. Faculty members  from the Cancer Biology and Cancer Prevention in the Pacific Programs and a dedicated Training Coordinator with the assistance of the UH Cancer Center Education Committee work together to provide training opportunities at all career levels.  Our focus is on research internships, graduate assistantships, postdoctoral opportunities, hands-on research experiences, and educational activities such as scientific seminars, travel to scientific meetings, and career development workshops.
