The University of Hawaiʻi Cancer Center conducts research on the causes, prevention, and treatment of cancer across a broad array of disciplines.
Research areas of focus include epidemiology, molecular carcinogenesis, prevention methods, quality of life in cancer survivors, new therapeutic approaches to cancer treatment, and community-based interventions to promote cancer preventive lifestyles in the state's multi-ethnic population.
The University of Hawaiʻi Cancer Center collaborates with researchers locally, nationally and internationally.

Faculty employed by the University of Hawaiʻi Cancer Center (UHCC) and “Matrix” faculty from other University of Hawaiʻi (UH) units and non-UH partner institutions can apply for UHCC Cancer Center Support Grant (CCSG) membership.
