Shared Resources
Access to resources for research services are essential to achieve the mission of the University of Hawaiʻi Cancer Center. As few of these services are readily available in Hawaiʻi due to its small size and geographic isolation, the UH Cancer Center provides these essential services locally. Shared Resources (SRs) and Research Cores were established to provide the necessary expertise, equipment, and services to support the research of the Cancer Biology and Population Sciences in the Pacific Programs. In addition, the UH Cancer Center has several resources that are available to inform research projects.
Shared Resources include:
- Analytical Biochemistry (includes Metabolomics facility)
- Biostatistics
- Genomics and Bioinformatics
- Nutrition Support
- Body Composition Lab
Research Cores include:
- Microscopy, Imaging and Flow Cytometry
- Preclinical (include the former Chemical Biology Core)
- Pathology
Research Resources include:
The service and fees for these facilities are described in webpages linked to this page. Priority to use these facilities is given to UH Cancer Center members, but the services are available to other researchers depending on capacity and workload. The CCSG-supported Shared Resources offer a subsidized fee schedule for UH Cancer Center members. Requests to access services and resources should be addressed to Directors of the facilities.
